Born and raised in Sacramento, Hmong-American soprano Jordan Yang transcends music genres with her luscious voice. Coming from a pop background, she released two singles, “Every Single Second” and “Selfish”, at the age of 16 with the Los Angeles record label Indasoul, before falling in love with classical music during her undergraduate studies at the Conservatory of Music at University of the Pacific.

Jordan has performed for a multitude of events from the young age of 12, ranging from banquets to festivals and events such as Hill Tribe Fusion’s fashion show: Journey. Aside from solo gigs, she also enjoys participating in large ensemble works. Her most notable performances were the role of Cinderella in Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim and Morgana in Händel’s opera Alcina.

Although Jordan is presently focused on a classical singing career, she has had the opportunity to train with many astounding voice teachers of different musical backgrounds, such as Leslie Sandefur, Lady Kitty Griffin, Professor Daniel Ebbers from the University of the Pacific, and Heidi Moss-Erickson.
